Catherine Ngahu is the Founder and Executive Chairperson of SBO Research a leading Marketing Research and Training company.She is a recognized consultant and educator in Marketing

, Research and Business Strategy.  In this area of expertise, she has consulted for a wide range of public and private sector organizations in financial services, fast-moving-consumer-goods, publishing, ICT, manufacturing and energy sectors for over fifteen years. She has handled many consulting assignments on enterprise development and investment climate assessment for the World Bank Group, United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Kenya Investment Authority.  Over the years, she has completed numerous consulting projects on the regulatory framework and service issues for the communication sector in Kenya.

Catherine has been a senior lecturer at the University of Nairobi, School of Business for many years. She holds a Bachelor of Education, 1st class honours and Master of Business & Administration from University of Nairobi. She studied entrepreneurship as a Business Research Fellow at Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania; and studied Value- based leadership under the African Leadership Initiative program of the Aspen Leadership Institute. She has taken the Corporate Governance course with the Institute of Directors, Kenya and is currently studying for the International Certificate in Company Directorship with IOD UK.

Catherine has published widely in the areas of marketing strategy, quality management, and technology policy and practice in Africa.

She is Chairperson of Kenya ICT Board and member of the boards of KCA University and Moran Publishers. She previously served in the Boards of Kenya Women Finance Trust and Suntra Investment Bank. She was awarded the Marketing Warrior Award by Marketing Society of Kenya in 2008; and DMAS (Distinguished Marketing Savants) in 2009 by Marketing Africa. She has travelled widely for educational and exposure tours on business incubation, ICT and customer service practices.
