The Government is currently enjoying 80MB Broadband Internet capacity.At least six (6) Government of Kenya ICT officers have been trained in Network Engineering and have attained the CCNA certification.The Government has acquired its own Internet address resources and an autonomous System Number for it use.

Advantages/Benefits

By use of its own internet address space, the government has now developed the capability and flexibility to get internet bandwidth from any operator without being tied down. Also the Government of Kenya email system is anticipated to be more robust and reliable.Government websites can now be hosted at Government Data Centres without compromising their security and availability.
