Judiciary Case management Information System has started

A two way sms platform is being implemented to enable the judiciary provide up to date information to clients regarding the status of their cases.

The system under deployment currently has the capability to provide the customers with information such as:

When their cases are due for mention, hearing, judgment, the court their matter is etc.

The Advantages/Benefits

  •   Customers do not have to travel long distances to check at the court registry when their matter is listed.
  •   Convenience; the service is available on a 24x7 basis, thus in a way the courts will have extended their opening hours now to 24 hours.
  •   It is envisaged that the number of clients seeking these services will exceed 10,000.

 

 

Judiciary Digitization has started

The project is aimed at digitizing over 30 million records in the registries as a first step towards the automation of the justice system in Kenya. So far 2.5million records have been digitized.

The work entails the conversion of the current paper documents into digital formats and storing them in a centralised document management system.
